Curl Girl - my new obsession

Since I got my new job, I figured that frumpy mom needed to start to go away. I have started to buy some new clothes for work. I also wanted to do something to my hair. I have had the same hair cut for FOREVER! I was watching the Rachael Ray Show the other day and there was a segment on a blog called Hair Thursday. It is a really neat idea and blog. People email in their picture and also a little rundown of how much time they spend on their hair. The writer puts the readers picture up with 2 celebrity pictures and all of the readers get to vote on which hair cut would be best for the person. I knew that there was no way that if I emailed my picture in that I would be selected since everyone knew about the site now, so I decided to just look on the site to see if there were any posts that had similar hair to mine. I had no luck, but what I did find was a post that said that there was a website that was just for curly haired people. It is called NaturallyCurly.com. I am in love! I skimmed through some of the forum posts and found out that I am doing my hair all wrong. I should not be using shampoo to clean my hair. I only need to use conditioner and do it in a certain way with certain ingredients. There is a book that has a method called Curl Girl. The method outlines how to clean and style curly hair. So I ran out today and bought a few new items so that I could start my Curl Girl experince. After I get my hair undercontrol, I will get it cut. I just got out of the shower from using my new products and my hair is drying right now. I think that my hair will look bad for a few days/weeks until it gets to where it needs to be, but I am willing to wait so that I can have even more beautiful curls!!!
