Labor Day weekend

Blair and I are headed to North Carolina to visit with Diana, Allen and Diana's bump, Emma for Labor Day weekend. This is going to be a long ride for Blair and I but we are so very excited for Blair's first trip. We are planning on going shopping at the outlets and hanging out. We even get a bonus since Courtney and Austin are coming up to North Carolina too! Nick and Hunter are staying home and doing whatever boys do when the girls are away. I will post pictures as soon as I can.

Sleeping through the night!

Well we have made it 4 nights in a row that Blair has slept through the night. She has gone about 10-11 hours in between feedings!!! I can't believe that my 2 1/2 month old is doing this!

2 Month Checkup

Blair had her 2 month check up on August 14. She weighed 11 pounds 7.5 ounces and 22 inches long. She got 5 shots in her tiny little legs and was not a happy camper for about a half an hour. But she really did great, even if she did spit up all over me, herself and the floor at the doctors office multiple times!

Great Grandma

Blair got to meet her great grandma Elaine when she and Aunt Patti came up from South Carolina. Grandma Elaine got some great baby time in over the weekend and she showed us all what being a grandma is all about. Aunt Patti showed off her grandma skills as well getting Blair to talk up a storm.

Four Generations

Swing

Blair has realized that she has a mobile on her swing. She now "talks", smiles at, and tries to grab the bear and stars.

Forth of July

Blair's first holiday was the Fourth of July. She got to experience fireworks and a cookout with friends. She slept right through both!

First Doctors visit and CHKD

Blair had her first doctors appointment on Tuesday, June 17th. She weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces and 21 inces long. Her doctor said her bilirubin levels were too high so she needed to go to the NICU at CHKD to be under the bili lights to get her jaundice to go away. We admitted her into the NICU that afternoon. Blair was such a trooper and her levels came down very quickly. She was discharged from NICU on Friday. This was such a scary experience, but she had great nurses that helped make it better for us.

Blair's Birth Story

After a wonderful pregnancy, our due date of June 8th, came and went. My doctor decided that I should be induced on June 12th. I was admitted into Sentara Leigh at 4PM. My induction started at 7PM with the use of Cervadil. My water broke at 12:30AM. I got a little sleep before the contractions started. At 4AM, I got my epidural and really got some sleep. Around 11:30AM I was ready to start pushing. After an hour of pushing, Blair was born at 12:33PM, weighing in at 7 pounds 7 ounces and 21 inches long. Giving birth was the most amazing thing that I have ever done in my life! I am so completly in love with my little girl!
