Christmas
We had a fantastic Christmas! We were able to sleep in a little bit, knowing that this is one of the last few years that that will be able to happen. Since Blair had no clue what was going to happen under the tree, we waited until later in the day to let her open her presents. My mom came over around noon and we started doing some cooking. Nick went and finished putting together Blair's Santa gift. Around 1PM, we had Blair go and play in the other room while Santa came to visit. All of the gifts went under the tree. I turned on the video camera and mom brought Blair into the room. The first thing that Blair saw was her new baby. The baby talks and cries and sucks on her bottle and she came with a highchair, playpen and a stroller. It was defiantly love at first sight when Blair saw the baby. She went over and looked at it and then took it out of the highchair and it started to talk. She was amazed! She did not want to put the baby down. She kept moving it from the highchair to the playpen and then to the stroller and back again. After about 15 minutes, we were able to have her put the baby to bed so that she could unwrap the rest of her presents. We ended up having to turn the baby off because she would start talking as soon as Blair would pay attention to the other presents. Blair was a very spoiled little girl this year. She got puzzles, a few Mr./Mrs. Potato Heads, coloring books, Little People toys, a Musical Sit and Spin, a few Magna-doodles and several other things. After presents were finished, we got ready for our company. Doug, Doug's girlfriend, Brittni, her sister and her Dad, joined Nick, Blair and my mom for dinner. Nick fried the turkey again and it turned out better than at Thanksgiving. We had tons of food and great placemats! I had Blair color our placemats and I lamitated them with contact paper. By the end of the evening, we were all stuffed! We are thankful that we have been able to have such a good Christmas this year!
