9 Months!

Once again, this last month has flown by!

It seems like this month was really the month that Blair has really turned into a real little person. She is babbling away constantly. She eats table food really well and can even feed herself. She has mastered crawling and zooms around very quickly. She has also mastered the pincher grasp with her thumb and forefinger. She still only has 2 teeth and is wearing 6-9 month clothes and size 3 diapers. She loves to go to the park and swing and she loves to crawl around and get into EVERYTHING. She crawls to Hunter and Sasha and pets them. Hunter does not mind the petting, which is more like smacking, but Sasha is not as thrilled that she has to watch out for Blair or be poked an prodded and smacked. She has said her first word (Ya Ya = Sasha). She still loves to take off her socks and is very content to be barefoot all of the time. She is going though a mommy stage right now and only wants me. That's kinda annoying when I need to get work done... But I love it anyway! She loves when we dance with her. She is getting more generous with her giggles lately. She has been giggling for a few months but didn't do it a lot, but now she will laugh at you when you make a funny face or noise or suck on her paci or dance or sing or tickle her. The spit up is a thousand times better and it only happens every once in a while. Her hair is growing now and I am so excited! It's still not much longer than when she was born but she woke up with the best bed head ever the other day! Her eyes are still blue and I'm really thinking that they are going to stay that way. She is starting to stand up by herself. She will pull herself up on something and then just let go. Sometimes she stands there for 5 or so seconds before plopping on the ground. My little girl is growing up too fast but I am so excited for the warmer weather so that we can get outside and explore all that the world has to offer!

We had Blair's 9 month well baby check up and it went fine. She weighs 17 pounds 2 ounces (50th percentile) and is 27.5 inches tall (25th percentile). The best thing about this check up is that there were no shots, but she did have to have a toe prick to check her iron levels.

Happy 9 months honey bee!
