My mom, Blair and I took Blair down to South Carolina for her first trip to see Great Grandma. On the drive down, Blair did really well. She slept for most of the ride but we did have to make a few stops so that Blair could have a break from being in the car seat. On our second stop, we went to an outlet mall. We were in luck because there was a Carter's there. Mom and I told each other that since we did not have a coupon, we would not be buying anything. Well, we were doing really well just looking around at all of the new stuff that they were just putting onto the racks until we got to the bathing suit section. I already have one bathing suit for Blair but I wanted to get one more for this summer. We started looking and we found the best suit ever. It is a lime green one piece with pink flamingos on it. We even found a matching hat! I am so excited to put her in it this summer! After our break at Carter's, we got back in the car and continued our drive. We got to Great Grandmas house and enjoyed a nice dinner that Aunt Patti had made. We all headed to bed pretty early since driving made us all tired. We got up early on Saturday and headed over to Cousin Dave and Dana's house to have lunch and to hang out with Elaina, Dave and Dana's daughter. After lunch, we headed back to Great Grandma's so that we could all take naps. After our naps, we headed back over to Dave and Dana's to have dinner. We had giant Alaskan snow crab legs that were so yummy. Blair had chunks of avocado and I was so excited since she was actually eating chunks and not mashed up food. After dinner and dessert, we head back to Great Grandma's house and went to bed. Blair was so tired from playing with Cousin Elaina all day. On Sunday, we had a great breakfast of pancakes and bacon. After breakfast, we marked Blair's height on Great Grandmas door frame. This door frame is so neat. All of Grandma's kids and grandkids are marked on the door to show how much everyone had grown. I was so excited to put Blair on the door frame and continue on with the family tradition! Finally we got in the car and headed over to Patti's house so that I could see all of the redecorating that she had done to her house. After Patti's house, we got back in the car and headed back home. Blair did so well on the way home. She slept most of the way and we only had to stop a few times. We had a great weekend and cannot wait to go back down at the end of the summer!
